Jefferson House Communique announced today that singer, songwriter, producer and actress Jane Jensen has been awarded the inaugural 2026 Artworks Prize for Music. Her song “Changeling” and its multiple video versions has been recognized for its “tremendous power and excellence in all aspects of writing, performance and recording”.

When asked about her songwriting approach, she responded “I write mainly to manage and express my emotions. The song itself can feel like a guide and goes where it wants to.”
Jane Jensen is a versatile music artist and producer, rooted in rock & roll, poetry, and electronic music. Her love and affinity for industrial music has been a constant influence throughout her diverse projects. She has toured extensively in the US and Australia, sharing stages with Filter, Gravity Kills, Linda Perry, L7, Moby, and Green Day. Jane is also known for her composing and producing music for shows that include Grey's Anatomy, Rescue 911, and starring in independent films such as Troma Entertainment's cult classic Tromeo and Juliet.
