“Traveler”, a haunting rock ballad from the 2022 album of guitarist Elliott Harrison, is being produced as the first project from Jefferson House Communique to use AI technology in its creation and bring its lyrical vision to life.
This clip shows how the music short film is developing, with an expected fall 2026 release.
“This new medium has taken me by surprise with all the possibilities”, states producer Joseph Lamm. “It brings literally your entire imagination into the realm of tangible sight.”
“Traveler” serves as a sequel of sorts to the song “High Plains Drifter”, which is part of the 1984 debut album by Lamm. That album was well received critically and saw re-release in 2015 as an expanded edition, this time featuring additional music performed by Harrison.
Hundreds of images and photographs are being captured and fed into the learning process, then uploaded into digital editing software by director/producer Lamm. “I think of this process as a form of animation.”
